'Electric Open Air' is an uncommon Spacebirds and frankly experimental two-track single. Firstly, this is the result of cooperation with our good friends - the Moscow IDM duo 'Green Ice Cream' represented by Dmitry Terminus (responsible for programming the drums) and Elena Verbnikova (flute). Secondly, this is an experiment (and remained isolated) using cloud technologies: both compositions were recorded and mixed in 2017 in the browser-based DAW Soundtrap. Stylistically, this music is also atypical for Spacebirds: here you will hear elements of different genres and styles - Chillwave, Dreamwave, IDM, many references to electronic psychedelia and Krautrock1970s, but almost never hear the familiar romantic Synthwave. This release was not distributed on digital platforms. His only publication - on the Space Atmos label in 2018 - went almost unnoticed.
At the end of 2020, we remastered the single and decided to re-release (again in a “limited edition.” The single will not appear on Spotify, Yandex Music and other streamings) on Lazer Visa.
It can be considered a "semi-official" release of the Spacebirds project, the publication of archived and "lost" records.

‘Electric Open Air” – это нехарактерный для Spacebirds и откровенно экспериментальный сингл из двух треков. Во-первых, это результат сотрудничества с нашими хорошими друзьями – московским IDM-дуэтом ‘Green Ice Cream” в лице Дмитрия Терминуса (ответственного за программирование ударных партий) и Елены Вербниковой (флейта). Во-вторых, это эксперимент (так и оставшийся единичным) с использованием облачных технологий: обе композиции записаны и сведены в 2017 году в браузерной DAW Soundtrap. Стилистически эта музыка тоже нетипична для творчества Spacebirds: тут вы услышите элементы разных жанров и стилей – Chillwave, Dreamwave, IDM, много отсылок к электронной психоделии и краутроку 1970-х, но почти не услышите привычного романтического Synthwave. На цифровых площадках этот релиз не распространялся. Его единственная публикация – на лэйбле “Space Atmos” в 2018 году – осталась практически незамеченной.
В конце 2020 года мы сделали ремастеринг сингла и решили перевыпустить (снова “ограниченным тиражом”. На Spotify, Яндекс Музыке и других площадках сингл не появится) на Lazer Visa.
Можно считать это “полуофициальным” релизом проекта Spacebirds, публикацией архивных и “потерянных” записей.
